OHIO STATE GETTING SNUBBED IN THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF SECTION PROCESS

In what may have been the most exciting weekend in College Football in ages, seven of the top eight ranked teams faced off against each other in what amounted to CFP “play-in” games and two of the top four teams took care of business.

And the fact that number four ranked Wisconsin fell to number six ranked Ohio State put number five Alabama back in business.

The number one ranked Clemson tigers pasted Miami 38-3 in the ACC title game, giving them the number one overall seed when the final CFP rankings were announced yesterday at noon.

There was also no surprise when Oklahoma—who crushed TCU in the Big 12 Championship game—got the Number 2.

And while the Georgia Bulldogs went into Saturdays SEC championship game ranked six, few were surprised when they avenged their earlier loss to Number 2 Auburn, crushing them by a score of 28-7 to earn the Number 3 CFP ranking.

The #2 Sooners will play the #3 Bulldogs in the Rose Bowl Game presented on New Years Day.

The only drama was the Number four selection as many debated that #6 Ohio State’s 27-21 defeat of Number 4 Wisconsin in the Big 10 Title game Saturday should have put them in the final slot the Badgers vacated.

But it was Alabama taking that slot making them the only team to have been in all four College Football playoffs and for the third straight season, they will be facing Clemson—this time in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan 1st.
