UNMISS Appeals for Calm as tensions remain high in Western Lakes
The UN mission is calling for calm and a return to negotiations after a fatal intercommunal conflicts between the Ruop and Pakam communities claimed lives of an estimated 70 people.
On Saturday, The UN Mission in South Sudan conducted a field visit to Abirum and Abel of Western Lakes where several people died and many others were wounded.
Kwame DWAMENA-ABOAGYE, UNMISS Head of Field Office in Rumbek, spoke with Sani Martin explaining what they had found on the ground.
