UNMISS Chief says Mission will Keep Up Pressure to avert further escalation in Western Lakes

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, David Shearer, says UNMISS teams on the ground have facilitated the removal of roadblocks mounted by the rival youth clans – opening up vital routes to movement and trade.

Mr Shearer says UNMISS will keep up pressure on communities to avert further escalations.
