A community scheme to get ex-offenders back into work has been given £20,000 from the Kent Police and Crime Commissioner. It's from Matthew Scott's Safer in Kent Fund - and Thanet Community Development Trust will use the money to support 45 reformed criminals in Ramsgate, Margate, Sandwich and Canterbury. A team of tutors will help with work experience and train them in skills such as first aid and fire safety... they'll even have a mini graduation. Keith Morris is the chief exec of the trust. The courses begin in February.
