SPLA pledges commitment to protect children in the armed conflict

The Sudan people’s liberation army brigade 23 based in Pibor town of Boma state, has pledged to protect children in the armed conflict.

Brigadier General Korok Nyal made the remarks during a one week campaign of children not soldiers organized by the child protection Unit of the UN Mission in South Sudan.

Korok appreciated the training attended by fifty participants drawn from the ministries, counties and organized forces. He call upon the SPLA officers to protect children while adding that children belong to school and not barracks.
