SPLA and Opposition Forces urge Peace Monitors to Investigate the latest ceasefire violations

Sudan people’s Liberation army –SPLA and opposition forces are urging peace monitors under the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring Mechanism to investigate the latest ceasefire violations.
This as the two sides’ trade accusations and counter accusations about the latest clashes.
SPLA spokesperson Brig. Lul Ruai Koang says opposition forces allied to Riek Machar attacked their position in Northern Liech, Amadi, Awiel East and Fashoda, claims opposition forces have denied.
The Opposition liaison officer, Col. George Gatloy Koang, claimed that they acted in self-defense after government forces attacked their position in Northern Liech.
But SPLA spokesperson, Brig. Lul Ruai Koang, insists peace monitors and the media should go to the areas and establish the facts on the ground.
