Former SDLP MLA Alban Maginness accuses republicans of "rewriting the history of the Troubles"

A 'disturbing rewriting of our troubled past' - t hat's the view of former SDLP MLA Alban Maginness, who has hit out at what he sees as a "glossing over" of the roles of senior republicans in violence. He believes this is grossly misleading to young people in NI. His article comes on the back of the release of state papers which saw allegations about the role of the former IRA commander and deputy first minister, Martin McGuinness,  in the conflict.
