Health Specialist urge Government to get tougher on drug abuse

A public health specialist is calling for tougher action on drug abuse, with restrictions on drug access and punitive measures against drug users

The call on Monday came amid rising concerns that Drug use and abuse is slowly creeping into the country’s communities and posing a huge risk to the youths.  

Dr. Kadyang Modi, a public health specialist in the Ministry of Health says tougher policies are needed targeting the cause and source of drugs, rather than treating poor health once addiction sets in.
