South Sudan Presidency Cautions Malong Loyalists against Subversive activities

President Salva Kiir has urged SPLA officers loyal to former Chief of General staff, Paul Malong Awan, to desist from engaging in subversive activities.

Addressing a news conference at the Presidential Palace in Juba, the Presidential Spokesperson, Ateny Wek Ateny, said government has received credible information linking Malong to planning subversive activities using his loyalists.

Ateny said General Malong gave orders in an audio tape ordering key military officials to launch simultaneous offensives against the government.
