Inspectors have told kmfm a young offenders institution in Kent is less safe and more violent than it was last time they visited… A report out today says many of the 160 boys being held at Cookham Wood in Rochester didn't have enough time out of their cells to access education. Staff shortages are being blamed - although prison bosses say extra officers have now been recruited.
