A Kent mum whose son needed 17 pints of blood when he was seriously ill wants more of us to become donors... Oakley Orange from Strood - who's now 11 - suffered a severe reaction to medication that caused his skin to burn from the inside out. Four years on he's still recovering, but his mum Lorraine says he wouldn't be here at all if he hadn't had the transfusions. The NHS needs around 200-thousand new donors every year to keep up with demand.
