•    Matthew R. A. Heiman is a visiting fellow with the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and Chairman of the Regulatory Transparency Project. He served as an attorney with the national security division of the Department of Justice and as a legal adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.
•    TOPIC: This week the House will begin the process of reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act — the law that allows the U.S. government to collect intelligence on foreign citizens, with the goal of preventing terrorist attacks.
