WFP outlines plan to fight hunger in South Sudan over the next three years

The United Nations World Food Program has embarked on a 3 –year interim country strategic plan for South Sudan designed to improve nutrition and food security and to make communities more resilient.

Speaking to Miraya Breakfast show, Tomson Phiri, WFP communications officer in South Sudan said the plan is a major milestone for the country.

Phiri re-echoed a call for peace in the country, so the citizens can rebuild their lives and aid agencies can reach the people in most need.
