Athletics medal designer keen to showcase Birmingham's landmarks

50 days from the start of the World Indoor #Athletics Championships in #Birmingham on 1 March, the medals were unveiled at the city's Library this morning. They were made by Thomas Fattorini Ltd in the Jewellery Quarter, and designed by the Birmingham City University student Menna Jones. She wanted the winning athletes to have a permanent reminder of their surroundings on their visit to the city.
