Direct Line Looks To Make Roads Safer With First Smart Pedestrian Crossing

The Smart Crossing, a prototype that alerts drivers when pedestrians are crossing the road and lets them know when it is safe to walk, was unveiled in London recently.

Developed by insurance company Direct Line, it can see what is happening around it using computer vision and update the road markings without manual control.
