Dry January - it's become a thing in recent years when many give up the booze after - overindulgence - over the festive period.

But for one Newry mother of six, 2018 will be the first year of a life alcohol free.

43 year old Martine Marron reached rock bottom last year when 25 years of casual drinking spiralled out of control.

Martine spoke to our reporter, Nicola Weir, and told her that she would never have labelled herself an alcoholic until the day that changed her life forever.
