Event for business figures to pay to meet the Head of NI Civil Service today is scrapped - we can reveal he didn't know people were being charged to meet him

A select group of companies and charities had paid to meet the Head of the Civil Service - David Sterling. We can reveal this morning that meeting has been cancelled within hours of it due to take place. We can exclusively reveal that David Sterling did not know money was involved and a spokesperson for the Executive office said it was right to cancel the event.
