More than 70 child online grooming crimes have been recorded in Kent in the first 6 months of a new offence being brought in - the highest figures in the south east.

Instagram was the most common method used to contact children - with 12 to 15 year-old girls most likely to be targeted.

The new anti-grooming law came into force last April, but now the government and social networking sites are being urged to do even more to prevent it.
