UNHCR back in Lasu Refugee Settlement for first time since 2016

United Nations High commissioner For Refugee (UNHCR) has resumed operations in Lasu settlement camp in Yei River state for the first time since 2016.

Armed men attacked the camp in 2016 forcing many refugees to flee to the Democratic Republic of Congo while others scattered to the bushes.

UNHCR Communications Officer Emil Sahakyan, said the agency will be visiting Lasu refugee camp twice in a week with the help of UNMISS.

He spoke to Sebit William in this interview.
