South Sudanese artists stage peace concert in Addis Ababa

Episode 105,   Jan 31, 2018, 09:47 AM

A group of young talented South Sudanese artists from the Ana Taban youth advocacy group are camped in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hoping to use their talent to influence and raise global attention to the South Sudan peace process.

The ten youth join thousands of African artists under the African Artists Peace Initiative umbrella, a Pan-African movement of artists and peacemakers, championing a culture of peace and non-violence in Africa.

Anataban’s Communication officer Jacob Bul says the artists have spent the past week raising awareness on the situation in South Sudan and advocating for peace.

Their advocacy culminates in a #SouthSudaniswatching concert on January 31.

Bul spoke to Irene Lasu in this interview.
