£45M spent on keeping NI streets and roads tidy - money well spent or do we still need to clean up our act?

New figures obtained by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful show that Council spending on cleaning streets, roads and open spaces is now costing more than £45 million - an increase of 5% during the last financial year. However, the practice of issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for dropping litter and dog fouling has dropped by 13% on last year.
