The Central Bank will this week inject more dollars into the foreign exchange market in what has been described as efforts to improve the level of liquidity in the market and bring down commodity prices.

The first Deputy Governor in the Bank of South Sudan, Dier Tong Ngor, confirmed the plan to release more dollars on Wednesday during a news conference in Juba.

Dier Tong Ngor said the Central Bank would continue to intervene to strengthen the price of the South Sudanese pound against the dollar.
