Talks at the revitalization forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia hit a deadlock yesterday as parties failed to agree on the status and composition of the legislature.
The government position is for the Transitional Parliament to be expanded, while the opposition wants a reconstituted and smaller House.
A committee was formed to consult on the stalemate and report back to the plenary today [Friday] for further deliberation.
The discussions fall under Chapter One of the agreement on the structure of the Transitional Government of National Unity.
Government spokesperson Michael Makuei spoke to reporters.
