Audio Statement: Micheal Makuei explains why SPLM-IO delegation walked out of Peace Talks

Sources attending the High-Level Revitalization Forum in Addis Ababa say the SPLM-IO delegation of Riek Machar has walked out of this morning’s discussions.

The delegations are expected to discuss transitional security arrangements.

The news of the IO boycott comes as reports of fresh fighting near Nasser town in Latjor state. Each side is blaming the other for the attack.

Micheal Makuei, Government spokesperson spoke with the journalists covering the proceedings in Addis Ababa, and explained the reasons for the latest impasse.
