When the IGAD mediators floated the idea of revitalizing the agreement to resolve the conflict in South Sudan, there was a sense that peace was on the horizons.
Another opportunity had arrived and the mediation team continually told the parties to seize the opportunity to restore Peace and stability in the country.
The first phase of the talks ended with the signing of the cessation of Hostilities Agreement in December last year.
The second phase of the revitalization talks which started two weeks ago, ended Friday with no deal, but as Government Spokesperson put it, "major strides" were scored.
