While John has some trouble connecting from Astros Spring Training, Lance and Del kick off another week on The Bench with some discussion on the Texans’ cutting Brian Cushing and James Harden’s rather disappointing performance in the All-Star game. As the show continues, John connects and MLB.com’s Richard Justice joins them to talk Spring Training and Astros. To round out the hour, they break down Fergie’s “interesting” rendition of the national anthem and are joined by Astros outfielder Derek Fisher to talk about his experience in the legendary Game 5, how he improved, and how great the locker room is.
