A new campaign is hoping to strengthen nursing coordination at national level worldwide.

The ‘Nursing Now campaign’ is designed to recognize and promote nursing as being at the heart of efforts by countries around the world to provide healthcare for all, influencing policymakers and supporting nurses themselves to “lead, learn and build a global movement”.

The 3 -year global initiative launched on Tuesday, is being run by the Burdett Trust for Nursing, in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses and the World Health Organization.

James Campbell,  Director of the Health Workforce Department at WHO headquarters, spoke with Abraham Malek highlighting what this campaign seeks to achieve in countries like South Sudan.
