UNMISS supports Women's empowerment workshop to promote CoH agreement

Women intellectuals and vulnerable groups gather in Juba next week for a special workshop on the cessation of hostilities and peace agreements. 

The two-day forum is being organized by the community outreach unit of the UN Mission’s Public Information Office along with the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission, Wipe my Tears foundation and CTSAMM Ceasefire Monitors. 

The workshop is designed to engage the women and vulnerable groups in discussing ways to empower women to effect positive change. 

JMEC Communications Director Richard Bailey, and CTSAMM communications officer, Ruth Feeny, were hosted on Miraya Breakfast Show to discuss why tapping intothe influence of women is critical to drive the peace process forward.
