#Womenfest: Young Women less likely to find jobs in South Sudan because of gender stereotypes

The International theme for Women’s day this year is Time is Now: Rural and urban activists transforming women’s lives” and in pressing for progress, Radio Miraya reporters across the country have met  women, who shared their stories around the challenges of finding jobs and changing careers.

Listening to their stories highlights a few common challenges faced by the women searching for jobs namely; sexual harassment, outright discrimination and general stereotyping that some jobs are not meant for women.

Radio Miraya reporter, Manyang Mayom, caught up with Angelina Aluk Mayuol, a mother, activist and housewife in Gogrial state.
