To mark World Literacy Day, RNIB Scotland recently donated 55 boxes filled with books in braille and giant-print to the Salvation Army School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Jamaica.

Kiwayne Jacobs from the British Council's Jamaica office was the man behind International Literacy day's success, challenging the discrimination and marginalisation of visually impaired and blind persons.

The initiative was met with great praise and awarded 1st prize in the Global Staff Awards, Diversity category.

Simon Pauley chats to RNIB's Gozie-Joe Adigwe and the British Council's Kiwaine Jacobs, to learn more about their growing partnership.
