Wildlife Conservation Society takes steps to conserve Big Cats in South Sudan

The Wildlife Conservation Society is urging communities inhabiting areas surrounding parks and natural animal habitats to conserve and protect big cats and other wildlife species. 

 The society is strengthening law enforcement to protect these animals including lions, tigers and leopards to ensure they live in harmony with local communities.

Paul Peter Awol, the anti-trafficking and law enforcement coordinator in the Wildlife Conservation Society, told Miraya Breakfast show that they are increasing community outreach programs to inform the public on the importance of these animals and educate them on how the animals can serve as a major source of revenue.
