UNMAS forms Board of Enquiry to probe deminer’s death

The United Nations Mine Action Service - UNMAS South Sudan, has announced the constitution of a board of Inquiry to investigate the death of a deminer at a demolition site in Melut, Upper Nile region of South Sudan.

A deminer working for a contracting partner suffered serious injuries while working at a demolition site and later died in hospital.

Tim Lardner, UNMAS programme manager, told Radio Miraya Reporter, Abraham Malek that this incident was unusual and said an investigation is underway.
