The demolition of the chimney at the Kingsnorth Power Station is set to happen later this morning... The 650 foot feature was set to disappear from Medway’s skyline earlier in the month but it was delayed due to the snowy weather a few weeks ago. The last demolition at the site happened in July last year - today's is set to happen at 10am. Bill Cliff is Plant Manager for Grain and Kingsnorth Power Stations. It was shut in December 2012, after it reached a 20 thousand hour operations limit set by the EU.
