Tesco has been under fire over a government work experience scheme they're taking part in across the water.
In the scheme - called The Work Programme - young unemployed people work for free for EIGHT weeks. But if they pull out of the scheme early - the worker risks losing their benefits. Right to Work campaigners claim the government is forcing people to work for free with very little in return. They've described the scheme as 'forced labour'.
However the government says it's purely voluntary and has helped nearly twenty thousand people to move off benefits. We're asking today is it fair to ask young people to work for nothing...especially for companies like Tesco which are making big profits?
