FAO Champions Agriculture Campaign in Yambio

An agriculture campaign is being launched in Yambio today, to encourage farmers to increase their food production this year.
The National Ministry of Agriculture, with support from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization - FAO and the World Food Programme, is pushing the campaign.
Onyoti Adigo Nyikwec, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security is being accompanied to Yambio this morning by FAO representative and WFP representative to launch the agricultural campaign.
Pierre Vauthier, FAO Deputy Country Representative explains that the campaign aims to stave off a looming food shortage in the country projected to intensify between May and July.
He spoke to Sworo Charles Elisha in this interview.
