"Mine Action is Vital for Peace," says UN Secretary General

The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, is urging Governments to provide political and financial support to enable mine action work to continue as the world observes Mine awareness day.
In his message to mark Mine awareness day celebrated annually on April 4th the UN Chief stressed that Mine action is vital for enabling peacekeepers to patrol and protect civilians.
