Local celebrity calls for collective efforts to keep South Sudan mine free

Today, on International Mine Awareness Day, the J family entertainment group is appealing to the youths to team up and raise awareness about the dangers of landmines and unexploded ordinances.

The Mine awareness day theme, Advancing Protection, Peace, and Development echoes the vision of the Secretary-General and his reforms of the peace and security architecture. 

Edward Taban, one of the voices behind the UN mine action service awareness song which was composed last year, spoke with Regina Gorle,  saying collective efforts are needed to make South Sudan safer, for the citizens.
