Gbudue state Governor to table bill on underage marriages

Gbudue state Governor, Daniel Badagbu, says he plans to table a bill in the state parliament, which seeks to make underage marriages unlawful.

This he says would help control anti-social behavior.

“The law I am making is education bill whereby we will off course enforce this bill to make sure that people who go with girls who are underage, should also be punished severely under law," said the governor.

"We are going to table it in the assembly to make sure that this bill is passed and is being implemented," he added.
