Winners of UNMISS essay-writing competition in Malakal awarded

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan, a key partner for peace has awarded winners of the essay-writing contest in Malakal. The contestants were recognized for their brilliant perspectives on the theme; “How can women contribute to durable peace in South Sudan?”

John Juma David, from Vision academy secondary school, scooped the first prize booking himself a place in the national essay writing championship and a gold medal.

Radio Miraya reporter, Luka William Athiel caught up with three of the winners and asked them why they think their essays stood out.
