Planning your wedding can be a stressful time, but even more so when you are visually impaired.

Stephanie Agnew, a blind bride-to-be from Australia, has Cone-rod retinal dystrophy and became an internet sensation as her story of shopping for a wedding dress went viral.

Stephanie’s friend and photographer, James Day captured the moment she was trying on wedding dresses and shared the beautiful and emotional story on his website, grabbing the attention of various media outlets.

Speaking to RNIB Connect Radio’s Simon Pauley, Stephanie tells us more about her wedding plans, meeting her fiancé, and raising awareness about living with sight loss through her social media page: ‘Rocky and Me’.

Documenting her life with guide dog Rocky, Stephanie hopes to break the misconception that life with a disability can’t be fulfilling.
