Warning: This post contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War. You expected superheroes to die in Avengers: Infinity War. You probably didn't expect so many superheroes would perish by the end of the film.

The Russo brothers, who directed the film, let audiences know early on that no character was safe: fan favorite Loki is killed off in the first few minutes. Other characters met an ugly fate throughout the movie at the hands of Thanos and his minions, including Gamora (more on that later).
