May 01, 2018, 10:32 AM

It may be earnings season but one company where it isn’t raining money for employees is French IT company Capgemini. Sheetal brings to you our Story of the Day podcast, which takes a closer look at the salary hikes, or lack thereof, at Capgemini.

Capgemini has given a minimal salary hike to most of its staff and none to quite a few, causing discontent within the ranks. To add further insult to unrewarded injury, the company while announcing its first quarter earnings said it had started the year with "excellent growth momentum," which it expected to continue going forward.

Capgemini has reported 3,153 million euros of revenues for the first quarter of 2018, up 7.2 percent at constant exchange rates, and has maintained its forecast for the next year.
