“A free press is essential for peace, justice and human Rights for all,” – this according to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres.
In his message to mark World Press Freedom day, the UN Secretary General, reflected on the theme of the day; "Keeping Power in Check: The Protection of Journalists and Media Workers" saying building transparent and democratic societies by keeping those in power accountable.
