Suspension of MSF operations in Mundri “catastrophic,” says official
The suspension of MSF operations has been described as catastrophic to the civillians in need of the much needed health services in Amadi State.
Last week, the MSF team that was delivering much-needed healthcare to remote areas of Mundri was attacked by armed robbers who took their personal belongings, along with medical supplies and other MSF property.
Following this attack, MSF was forced to stop operating mobile clinics in the area until safe access to the isolated communities is guaranteed by all armed actors.
James Smith, the Coordinator for Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in Amadi told Francis Katie that the suspension of operations by MSF has left the local community helpless.
