IGAD Envoy: It’d be beautiful if South Sudanese could come up with a solution with no intervention

Working committees at the intra South-South talks in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia are continuing with discussions as they try to hammer out agreements on governance and transitional security arrangements.

The two groups under the facilitation of religious leaders, will present their reports to the plenary of the High-Level Revitalization Forum.

Present at the discussions are the main government delegation, the SPLM-IO, the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) and stakeholder groups of women

Briefing media on the progress of the discussions, IGAD Special Envoy to South Sudan, Ambassador Ismail Wais said initial reports he was receiving indicate that the deliberations were ‘going well.’
