Kent health bosses say they'll still accept some paper referrals for appointments with consultants to ensure patient safety as a new digital system is introduced.

There have been concerns details could get lost while GPs and other staff continue to be trained in how to use the new technology.

The Medway NHS Foundation Trust say they'll 'continue to accept non-electronic referrals for patients undergoing care for suspected cancer for the immediate future'.
