A report's revealed social workers had recognised neglect but it was 'never really addressed' before the death of a baby on the Isle of #Sheppey. Five month-old Eli Cox died in April 2016 after suffering injuries compared to those of a car crash victim. A serious case review's found there was a catalogue of domestic abuse and drug and alcohol abuse - but the impact on the children was not assessed. Gill Rigg is in charge of the #Kent Safeguarding Children Board which carried out the report.
