The mother of a man stabbed to death in Kingston says youngsters have become “desensitised” to knife crime.
38 year old father of one Derick Mulondo was killed on the Cambridge Estate a year ago.
He died just after police officers reached him.
23 year old Shauna Doyle was sentenced to a total of seven years in jail for manslaughter while 45 year old Eric Wertz was jailed for three years and four months for attempted grievous bodily harm with intent.
They also both received nine-month jail sentences for possession of an offensive weapon.
A public memorial will be held for Derick on Saturday in Kingston's Fairfield from 12 noon.
Derick's mum Sophie Kafeero's has launched a campaign "Drop a Knife, Save a Life" campaign.
