Machines that give money-off vouchers to people who fill them with rubbish are going to be installed at a service station in Kent to clear litter from our motorways. The first so-called 'recycling reward' devices in Britain will be at Maidstone Services off the M20 as part of a 6 month trial. Putting in bottles or coffee cups will get you a 5p off coupon for snacks and drinks. Trewin Restorick is the CEO of environmental charity Hubbub who are behind it the Drive Down Litter campaign.
