FAO Supported Post Migration Conference Opens in Maban, Greater Upper Nile Region

A post-migration conference between pastoralists and agro-pastoralists opened in Maban last week. 

The two-day conference organized by the United Nations Food and agriculture Agency, - FAO with support from the European Union was designed to promote peaceful co-existence between nomadic cattle keepers, host communities and refugees. 

FAO Technical Officer in charge of Food Security Analysis, James Bwirani told Radio Miraya reporter,  Abraham Malek, that the forum will explore ways of mitigating conflict and ensuring sustainable use of the already limited natural resources during the migration season.
